Six months ago, I switched jobs. As an American, that means I also switched health insurance. Because in the United States, the level of health care you receive and how much it’ll cost you usually depends on your employer.
Plainly put, health care in America is already extremely tied to facets of capitalism. Private companies seek to make money from the sick and ill Americans who walk into doctor’s offices and hospitals every day.
